Nice photos and coverage! I left a bit early so I missed the award ceremony. D1 has a no video policy on the drift and nhra course except for pre-arranged news / event broadcasting. I however, shot some HD video footage of the Saturday night tandem drifts and am waiting to hear back if they will allow me to post online once I edit and submit for review.

where you the guy in the "pit" that was getting harassed for not having their photo flag?

That wasn't me, I was never in the pit. I was to the left of the judges by the grandstand. I was there from the 2 team orange tandem runs until about the quarterfinal when someone told me I couldn't tape video.
