drift day 13

hey i just wanted to see how many people here did go to DD13... i got there at 7am and there was like nobody there. anywayz i got some pics and even a vid of me riding along in the signal s13. i need to make the file smaller though because its like 16mb for about 40 sec of vid... damn digi cam... i have some great video to but its on tape... and the cam doesnt hook up to the computer. i almost got to ride with the myoshi modified 240 but an instructor asked me if i was a driver and i told him no so he told me i had to get out. there were tons and tons of 240's a bunch of corollas, a bmw or two, a mazda miata, a supra tt, an fd, an fc, a couple of 350z's, DRFT's fd was there, signals s-13 was there, they had some weird 240 with a 280z front end conversion, milano's 240 with r32 rear conversion, and even a ford crown victoria drifting! there was one guy who had a bone stock 240 and he was doing a lot better than some of the guys with moderately modified 240's. this thing had some killer body roll too but he was great. there were many great corolla drivers too. had i not been freezing tired and hungry i would have had a better time.

Those are some really nice pics. I wonder if it is hard to do that r32 rear end? Do the Tail lights fit right into the old place or do you have to reshaped the old style to fit the new tails? GEt the video up too I want to see!

There's one guy on there named Asamoto who I guess is a DRFT driver and he has an FD. I dunno if it's the same guy. And there's another one who had an FD, but I guess he must have totaled it.

hey senshi how many people were there at 6:30? i got there at 7 and there werent too many there... the DRFT FD got there about 7:15? there were 2 86's and an s-14 on the track at that time too i think... did u see the s-14? he was damn good... i was watching him all day he had an almost purple colored 14 i think... with the blue hid's. ill take some pics from my camcorder of different cars in action and ill see if i can downsize the the vid from 16mb to 7 or so... i dont know how... its just from the inside of the 180 looking out for about 38 or so seconds going around the turns... you cant see much and at the end i decided to turn the camera towards me to prove it was me... right after that there was no more memory on the card. it was awesome though and there were no seatbelts or anything... just flyin though each turn holdin on with my feet basically... the guy driving it was named chris something... from jersey i think. the car wasnt doing to well... the only good runs he got in were the 2 when i was in the car and a couple later in the day. he was telling me that he was kicking the clutch about 30 times each run because the car kept cutting out... he was saying that the car was tuned at about 400 hp but it felt like it was running only 100. i noticed the boost setting was on low and i asked him about that and he said they had to turn it down cuz of how crappy it was running that day. i was going to ride in themyoshi modified sil80 and the milano 240 but they made me get off the track... oops...

FYI - Akinori Utsumi was the driver of the DRFT rx7. he is from the awesome team Night Zone. he used to drive his one via for a lonmg time up until recently.
- the pink s13 hatch with s15 face is Richard Tang's car. it is better known as JDM RICE2. i don't know who drove it though.
- the maroonish s13 hatchback with a pink bear on it is the Autolink car driven by Andy Yen.
- there was a maroon kouki s14 with a small GT wing and HID lights, that is a guy named Casper.
- the Signal car is driven by Chris and he is from Pennsylvania. he SHOULD be driving his personal car for d1. hopefully its ready.

who is this stock s14 driver that you mention? was it a red s14 with steelies and stock suspension?

oh and thanks to that guy who linked PG.
