(VIDEO) RHYS MILLEN/RED BULL Genesis Coupe

Our videographer Jason takes a ride in the RMR/Red Bull Genesis Coupe Show car. The car is basically stock engine wise, only has an open air intake filter and an opened up exhaust. Big difference was the wheels/tires. The show car is riding on bigger Toyo R1Rs (245 up front, 265 in back) and has some suspension tweeks. Rhys was able to catch up to one of his instructors relatively fast.

Also I can personally attest that this car is NOT running a VQ transplant as has been speculated. It is definitely the RS Lambda Hyundai engine.

So will Rhys have a race car ready for this season? Or will he be taking a season off to build the car?

They will have a car ready.. going on the dyno next week and testing will begin after that... the problem was they had to build a show car on top of the race car but it's going to get done. It'll be a fun season I think RMR will surprise a lot of people this year.

A build pic, car is a lot further along than this but gives you an idea of the transformation from stock car to race car.
