Offcial MBRP x GM Canada x Forgeline "Colorado Speed"Drift Truck Build Up
MBRP x Forgeline x GM Canada - Colorado Speed Drift Truck The "Colorado Speed" Drift Truck is a collaboration between MBRP Performance Exhaust and GM Motors Canada. The truck will be used in a number of event from drifting, to road racing, and even the Silver State Classic. We welcome all questions, and comments. Spec List 2007 Chevy Colorado regular cab, short box Engine - LS7 427 ci Custom MBRP Exhaust & Headers Internal upgrades and custom cam from Exotic Performance plus – Diamond Pistons 11596 Compstar Connecting Rods Clevite H series rod (CB663HN) and main bearing (CB2199HX) ARP main and head studs Total seal rings with an AP steel top ring Comp Cam duration @ .050 is 236/246 on a 114 lobe separation installed @ 113 intake centerline with .637/.650 lift Manley 5/16 one piece pushrods The heads were O-ringed at West Coast Cylinder Heads Valve springs are comp cams 26921kt The engine is 428.69 CID. The bore is 4.130, and it has the stock LS-7 4" stroke crankshaft. The compression ratio is 9.37:1 The block was honed with a torque plate, and the crankshaft was computer balanced to 1/4 ounce/inch. ATI F1A ProCharger intercooled Aeromotive Eliminator Fuel System Big Stuff 3 engine management AFCO Radiator and Cooling fans Transmission – Borg Warner T - 56 6 speed with Zoom clutches Gearing – 3.54 Custom fabbed spindles with ADCO chrome moly hub assemblies Custom 29 gallon fuel cell Fully caged Suspension - Custom Truck arm AFCO Shocks and Coil springs Custom Dana 60 Mosier Axle Shafts Brakes - Front - US Brake 4 piston with Drilled rotors Rear - US Brake 2 piston with Drilled rotors Wheels - Front -Forgeline ZX3r 19 x 9 - Matte Black Centers, Victory Red Outer Rim Rear - Forgeline ZX3R 19 x 12 - Matte Black Centers, Victory Red Outer Rim Tires - Nitto INVO Front - 255/35/19 Rear - 345/30/19 Interior - Cobra seats Autometer Gauges Sparco Steering Wheel Sparco 6 point racing harness Teaser pics ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() More pics to come!! waste of money in this tough economy
but that's just me It could look so much better, craftsman series meets japan is what I'm expecting when anyone tries to do a drift truck.... but I guess that will never happen. |

Blaze - Can definitely see where your coming from, but as far as building a truck that meets the needs of the parties involved. I think were on the right track. According to MBRP, their is still about another 4-6 months of work to do on the truck, so should be interesting.

Personally, I think Colorados aren't the greatest looking trucks, but with a powertrain and chassis like that, I'd suffer. Awesome, a supercharged LS7 and I love thoses camshaft #'s! Any power numbers yet? Two thumbs up!

MBRP says they are shooting for 1000 HP! I'll keep you guys updated once we get this thing on a dyno.
