What is going on here? RWD Civic hatch?

That manifold in the engine bay is NOT a FWD manifold... Anyone know anything about it?

This is the course:

It's the white and yellow EF Hatch that is being painted...

The pictures in your linked site give the illusion that the car in the picture is a civic, just because the picture next to it is of a civic, when in fact, it is not. Judging by the position of the fusebox, engine info stamp, and the design of the doorhandles and window, that is not a civic, but a 240sx. Problem solved.

That's not the same car as the yellow/white hatch. That car has a trunk and civics have frames around the windows. Probably a 180sx. Those are some great looking cars, nice pics.

No worries, man, we all make little brain farts at certain times, hehe. A rear drive civic would certainly be the talk of the group though, hehe. Imagine seeing a civic just kinda cruising, and then dipping the clutch and smoking the rear tires into a D1 worthy slide. Boy that would be the sweetest civic ever, haha! For now, we keep dreaming...

Thats a S13... not a civic hatch.

Oh i guess someone alrady said that.. well yeah its a S13. sence when do civic hatchbacks have trunks anyways? heres the question Silvia or 240sx... the intake manifold looks like a ka24, but its difficult to tell from the picture.

I'm working on the AWD CRX still, and yeah the FR ITR is by Blake and crew at Braille Auto in Sarasota - I will most likely be taking the CRX to them for help on the conversion, but there is a posssibility of a RWD-only setup or even a 4G63T with VCD (if the money comes through...)

Pennyman - soon enough, this will be the case!

Agreed. S13 most def. You can tell because the window doesn't extend the full length of the door when it is full rolled up.

Oh no

Some people do very bad things to very good cars.

"Dude there's a biplane on your trunk!"

What are you using for driveline in your CRX swap? VW guys have done that sort of thing a couple different ways, but I've never seen it in a CRX.

Just because taht wing is huge and maybe ugly to you. The car obviously has the ability to use that wing's downforce capabilities. For all you know that can be a Wangan car which means it needs that sort of thing to keep the back end down. Just because it's ugly doesn't mean it doesn't work or is there for no reason. Also the car might be a full on race car because of the sticker on the back that says i believe PCJ-Cup.

Wing

About that Porsche wing. That is purely function right there. I see wings like that all the time at Laguna Seca, and they make a big difference when you're traveling in triple digits.

I searched a bit, and although I couldn't find anything that was really in english, apparently the PCJ Cup is a race or race series in japan.

Soooo, perhaps the car is a legit race car.

If that's the case what is it doing on the street? Race cars don't usually sit around street corners.

Either way, if it's a true race car it would make sense to me, but if not...unless the owner has access to a wind tunnel or is quite the engineer I would strongly doubt the usefullness of that thing. Porsche does a good job with their cars, and they have a long and storied history of building very, very fast ones.

Wen you drive a car that's just getting wound up at 120 mph, you know it's built for speed and stability. Unless you're pretty competent and confident, I wouldn't screw with the balance or aerodynamics of a such a car.

Whatever. We won't really know unless someone identifies that as a purpose-built race car that was designed with hours of wind tunnel testing, track time, and whatnot.

Sooo, I guess this post can be boiled down to...prove it's a racecar, and I'll admit the wing could be usefull. And if it's usefull, then it doesn't matter how it looks. If not, then it's just pointless and ugly.
