And that guy was a good driver too. See how easy it is to get your self killed on the hills? he survived luckily though.

They were crossing the center line, i'm telling.

That camera man must be one ugly man for that Viper driver to lose control like that.

If you're in the stands warming the bench, don't whine about the guys in the drivers seats.

Haha, yeah. I run that road pretty often, and it's really easy to make mistakes over there. There's graves along the side of the road for the people who have died in crashes over there.

Yea, I agree. He must have been one craaaaaappy driver to just lock the brakes up like that and just slide off the cliff. He really wasn't going that fast and had plenty of room to let off the brakes, reposition the wheels and punch the gas. A really good experienced driver would probably not panic like that. Sure hope that TV crew was insured, cause if they wrecked my Viper on a test shoot, heads would roll. Plus they had no protective gear, nothing. Seems hokey to me. Like some low rent TV show just wrangled a couple crappy drivers together and made a spot. They weren't really hitting those corners with much speed. Both hands not on the wheel, even after shift. Just all around bad habits.

Maybe it was some rich boys who thought they could drive because they could afford a ferrari and a viper.

What can i say. What an idiot. If you are gonna drive the road in a car like that then dont race it. But I am glad that he is ok and that the viper wasnt too badly damaged.

The Viper is toast. Look at the roofline, the door frame and no telling what the suspension is like. Also look at that ratty drivers seat, hmmmm such a tattered seat in such a nice car? The head rest is coming apart, doubt that came from the accident. All adds up to poop far as i'm concerned.

my computer is fast so i got the vid b4 reading what everyone else posted and i began watching it and was expecting a good fight for i have seen a F355 perform b4 and a viper gts.. im thinking " this has gotta be good" and was watching and kinda didnt like the car cameras too much and got kinda exited when it was a cameraman and was paying maximum attention and just saw the viper then all the sudden i just watched fall of the lip of the mountain and my heart sunk because i have been to those parts of cali and its about a 400 -1000 foot drop in some parts and when i saw that viper drop it looked almost as if its left front tire was desperatly trying to grab on and it just went of and what my mind instantly thought was 5-6 rolls before a tree stopping it. all in all he was very lucky to be alive...

I guess that driver forgot that only the newer Vipers have ABS..Still,what type of driver goes in a corner, mashes the brake down, then attempts to turn.Proper manipulation of the gas, clutch, and brake are needed.Braking more so being the hardest thing to get down in an N/A.Knowing the point where the brakes almost lock up,then modulating the brakes to take advantage of it comes from experince, same when to apply the brake, how hard, how long, how much to modulate them, how to hit the apex, when to apply throttle, how much throttle, when to ease off, when to downshift, when to upshift, when to manipulate the clutch, how much to blip the throttle to match revs, how much to turn in,etc. So many variables, that's only touching the surface....It's obvious that Viper driver should've practiced a lot more before going out, that was a mistake no driver with some non-ABS experince would make.
