attended another BIG show - story & video

yesterday i attended Swedens biggest car display - equivalent to SEMA SHOW - there where about 15-20 000 people there.

I was asked to do a small drift display for the crowds on the airfield next to the show grounds... 150fot wide x 1,5 miles long

I started out by doing several really tight donuts together with a friend in his Volvo 760 Turbo - i think we might have been about 4 feet apart - lokked realllly cool i was told.
Then my friend´s Volvo decided to call it a day.... fuel pump problems.

So i had two more friend show of their cars on the runway.

the first car was fredriks Nissan Skyline R33 GTR with about 700 bhp, running an T78Turbo - he just did som burnouts & a few dragstarts... his car makes an AWSOME sound when the turbo starts to pull.

My other friend Ronny has an Opel (Vauxhall) Manta from 1974 with an Volvo 16V engine using both TURBO & SUPERCHARGER pulling 640 bhp
he also did som dragstarts & donuts - the sound f the combined turbo/supercharger makes the car sound.... CRAZY -

& then i did some donuts around his car making the crowds go crazy.

The i did several 2:nd & 3:rd gear full powerdrifts along the entire
runway...
finally i thought id for the first time in my life would try real drifts in 4:th gear.

I did just that... approaching 75 mph i shifted into 4:th & started to accelerate hard & at the same time pulling the steeringwheel from side to side slowly.

I made my car do some reallllly LONG power drifts at 100 MPH... maybe 5-7 long drifts.
The crowd was standing up cheering me on...

then the show was over & we all did some massive burnouts for the crowds.
It was a great day.
