alright...so this car is finally on the road! some quick specs: JDM WRX motor, JDM ball-bearing OEM wrx turbo, full LINK+ engine management, Custom turbo kit, Japanese turbo legacy radiator, blah blah blah...end result is about 310bhp. Oh yeah, RWD. enjoy!

...Next step is coilovers and zero offset wheels =).

Oh yeah, almost forgot the orange paint like in my sig ^_^

almost ALL GL's in 87 where automatic; the actual opening had to be massaged a little bit to fit the MT, but all the wiring is completely redone. motor and trans is out of a 96 WRX.

nice. Couple quesions... are the engine mounts similar to the later generation subarus? Also, how stiff is the chassis/body right now? does it flop around like bob dole sans viagra?

I've ridden in it, that thing is a beast and a half. Pulls on EVERYONE and built Integra drivers hang their heads in shame when the dori wagon boosts past.

EJ20K RULES!

Seriously now - you guys receive my vote for the "Best sleeper car of drifting.com" award (if there will be one). I have a lot of sentiment to Legacys. It was the car I've used to learn driving, and I remember it was awesome (that was the newer generation body, the one which shared the body with Blitzen). I really love those cars, and I dream about a GT-B...

Remember to say hello from me to all those ricey Honda boys with green neons and NOS kits!

you don't actually drive the car while the fans are running do you?

i could understand using the fans to keep it cool while at idle, but once you get driving, having those fans running would, in theory, slow you down.

since it takes electrically energy to run the fans, and it takes mechanical energy to make electrically energy at the alt, and you engine is working to make that mechanically energy.

and, there's no way something can 'cool' to produce more energy than it takes to actually cool it in the first place, it's a violation of thermodynamics.

What about the raditor fans? Those are doing more harm than good too? Seriously, I think you are wrong, but I am not greatly infromed on such things, so I truely dont know...
