Heh you couldn't get that 4 door behemoth around some of the curves where I am at. Some of them I have to run at 35 to 40 MPH and in my FD. One after another after another, it's freaking crazy man. 318 curves in 11 miles. Nothing in the states curvier.

I think the GTI-R would be a sweet car. I have always wanted one. Also the Renault R5 would be hell too.

you must be doped up yo.the jzx90 is the shite it would smoke a pulsar and murder the curves with ease those 4 doors would be carbon.

I like that Mazda 323 Ghost. It looks nice. would have liked to do that to my ex-Escort. Don't think I'm just being stupid. You can do anything if you put your mind to it... like make a Ford Escort a killer car.

i am not sure about your 4 door car man... now granted i have no touge experince but from the roads i have seen in videos i think weight would be less of a problem then just all around size... some of those corners are hella tight i just don't know if a big 4 door would have room to manuver... as for smoking the pulsar... who can say i mean with enough money you can do pretty much anything but i find it hard to believe that any 4 door that big is gonna beat a small 2 door hatch with AWD and all that i just don't think you could make it nimble enough

as for making the escort bad *Censored**Censored**Censored*.... i am pretty sure the 1.8L BPT from the mazda 323 GTR can fit... it makes 230bhp stock so i am sure there is room for improvement.... if your really interested check out www.corksport.com ... if money is no object i suppose could just convert it to a escort cosworth.... but it would be easier just to buy one....and cheaper too...

as far as i can tell from searching the 323 mailing lists i am on there was no real difference beyond engine performance i believe the JDM 323 GTX made 180 while oem made 130.... but i only know about the GTX model

i do know that after 1989 mazda did not offer any AWD 323s in america while in japan and other countries they offered both the GTX (B6T 1.6L turbo) and GTR (BPT 1.8L turbo) which made 180 and 230 bhp respectively

as for any other differences i will ask around and come up with more

but i forget what they have for it
definately a 300hp with engine mods
and some good coilovers i wish u could put some gp-sports suspension on em im not sure
a holinger six-speed squential and a quaife lsd
and a purple seed wing just for kicks (i have never seen this wing)
kinda like the RaW azz cozzie in a racing vid i saw with some skylines and fairlaidies

having never actually driven on the touge and not having much in the way of twisty lighty used roads in my area i can only think that what you would be looking for is some thing with great response very little weight and a controlable amount of power and in keeping with my penchant for out of the ordinary cars i would have to say that any of the lotus 7 replicas are probobaly going to do really well...

especilly the catherham super 7 blackbird

                    RWD

                    170bhp from a CBR1100XX Blackbird motor

                    curb weight: 430kg or 947.7lb

this car makes 395bhp per tonne

the sportbike powerplant has is gonna be VERY responsive and have a ridiculous redline like 10k+ which is gonna give you plenty of powerband to work with couple all that with a very low center of gravity and some really sticky tires and i think it would be pretty unbeatable

now keep in mind i have never driven a touge nor a super 7 blackbird all information was derived from

                    Top Gear Road Tests

feel free to abuse me as a poser... i am just throwing these things out there as an idea because i am bored on a saturday afternoon

hey like you said anything is possible with funds.a chaser could be built for touge and can reign supreme, also it has to do with driver on the pulsar. and what are you talking about when you say 4 doors cant take corners especially tight ones, ever seen a rally? tons of 4 door bro.i would just throw on a turbo that spools like a fkn banshee at around 34 hun rpm and then that little awd pulsar will fell the rath of the chaser around those corners.
                      yea mark 5

yeah i love rally watch it all the time... but there is distinct difference between an evo or a WRX which is compact four door and a luxury car... the evo wrx and even the lancia were purpose built for WRC and then released to the public to meet FIA requirements... unless i am greatly mistaken the jzx90 is not designed for racing... :: shrug:: but then this thread isn't supposed to be all rooted entirely in reality.... the only way to figure out this argument would be to go out to the actual roads and compete and as much as i would like to i just don't have that kinda cash... but i still stand by my statement that the best car for the twisty bits is gonna be light with a short wheel base very responsive on the throttle and in my mind AWD tho i think any platform would probobaly work well with the right driver

how about they all work good.i would just like to lighten up a chaser, trow out the toe angle slightly and wheelbase dont matter, especially if the car has good turning radius,a pulsar could go in a corner fast but the chaser would screm through at the end of that corner, there both capable,no argueing just drifting here, this pic is for the nismo inside dude.

I honestly would say the s15 would be my favorite Touge car.
I've driven the Touge with my previous car which was a 2000 R34 Skyline. The skyline was way to big often times it felt like I had to much skyline for the little *Censored**Censored**Censored* roads out there.
My S15 now is tuned pretty well for the touge but its got a little to much power, gets dangerous.
The link arms and bushings are probably one of the best modification I've done.
