Toshiki Yoshioka is pleased to announce the return to 2013 Formula Drift and the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb challenge as Yoshioka Racing in a brand new SUBARU BRZ.

In 2012, Toshiko Yoshioka, a veteran drift/circuit driver, suddenly found himself without a ride for the upcoming season due to scheduling conflicts in Japan with his sponsors. Despite having given up everything in Japan to move to the US and pursue the American dream, Toshiki was about to give up on the season.

However, a chance reunion with Toshi Hayama from Stage 10 and Naofumi Omoto from GTNET/CWEST changed all that.

Upon hearing about this situation, they decided to help. They realized Yoshioka’s potential, but also wanted to invest in the human aspect of Yoshioka’s personal adventures and challenges.

Yoshioka was always known as a hard working privateer that inspired many fans to push the boundaries of their own, often underpowered, cars. He was a symbol of the underdog fighting spirit and they wanted to support that.

Considering Yoshioka’s deep fan base with Hachiroku customers, Toshi and Omoto felt that the Subaru BRZ would be perfect for his personal challenge.

GTNET, being a nationwide Japanese sports car dealership, offered to sponsor him a brand new 2013 SUBARU BRZ. C-WEST would take care of the Aerodynamics, Tomei Powered would handle the 600HP engine, Garrett would support special turbo, and Cyber Engineering took care of the suspension. Stage 10 would handle PR and marketing efforts.

And so, within a few weeks time, the foundation for a team with great potential was born.

      Toshiki for 2013

An amazing story with an amazing driver. Its about time all of the hard work started to pay off. Long time since I've been watching, I plan to follow closely in '13. Both FD and Pikes.

Glad to see Yoshioka is staying in FD! He's a very talented driver, I thought he did quite well in that S15. I hope he has time to shake the car down before LB, unless the car is already 2/3 done he's just announcing it now.

^ I'm thinking about the same thing for shake down time. Hoping his Garret Tomei setup comes together.

Good to hear that Yoshioka will be back in a 86(pretty much).
Something to look forward to. Alot of new builds for 2013.

Episode 2: Yoshi takes out the transmission from the S15 and BRZ then flies to Japan to meet with Tomei powered. After a successful meeting, prep work begins on his EJ26 engine.
