I don't know if any of you live in Atl but there is one wicked SC 300 that has a tt soarer engine in it. Sae at Finish line owns it. Man that thing is amazing. I'll post a pic if I can get one.

        Heres his motor: dayum
        Pics didnt work

numbers are 'at least' since most of the stuff had to be custom outsourced and one-off work.
        Car: Lexus certified 17k
        Auto couture/exclusive kit: 1500 used
BN Sports kit: 2k smashed in the spring and again this summer
sold remaining good pieces and bought:
        Junsei kit= One off 1800
Paint: has been painted 3 times since Aug 03...all candy 5k
        Body work (custom) 2-3k
        Hoods= 2500 plus a ruined stock hood (I have 2 /HAD 3)
        Trunks= 2k plus a ruined stock trunk (2)
Standard weave and double weave sets.
Please note that the hood and trunk had never been done on an SC before, so I had to foot the bill to have them custom built.
Tranny work= 2k (2 new ones and custom ecu work)
Engine= @1500-2k for ecu ,Misc parts.
        Management system 1800 w/ laptop..on tha fly!!
currently with in the middle of purchasing a new engine R'now...4 boostin'
        Dragon Torque convertor=1000 installed
suspension= 2k all misc undercar stuff, custom front and rear CF bars, supra parts here n there etc
Interior= full swap/custom bout 5k LOTS of custom 'stuff' and OEM (OEM more expensive than custom stuff at times )
        19in custom rims & tires= ???hmmmmmm......
18in rims & tires By Carving: 2600 sold pretty recently
        16in custom rims & tires= about 1k used SSR & Work
MISC STUFF: a lot, car has had a lot of 'looks' to it, changed suspensions for a different ride, brakes,Nitrous systems, custom CF intake, LOTS of custom CF in interior, CF gauges, Misc re-wires,cosmetic stuff etc....ok thats enough, gettin a headache now

Theres more, but thats all I can think of now (or care to list)

Car wasnt made to run like this and it showed with the amount of time and work it took.

A lot of stuff was trial and error. Lexus Trannys cost a lot when yoo keep breakin/tuning them...

        Mini Lexus:
Mini car= JDM Gift not sure how much they were worth over there but I do know they were rare and made for a very short period.
Every time the big car gets painted she gets a new paint job.
        Candy paint
        CF hood
        She's now remote controlled
        bout 1k into it.

        Nissan 240: $500
misc stuff im stock piling for its release this spring/summer: about 4k so far.

That's if I didn't screw up the math..lol...plus I know I'm forgetting something but for the life of me I can't remember. I keep good track of what I spend on the car...it helps to keep things in perspective.

Like I said...I built it up to be practically a new car again, and I'm still not through. I spent alotta hard work and time on it, and I want it to be reliable from the begining..so I had EVERYTHING replaced on the car. It drives like it's new now.

Id keep the WRX and get the 240...they're so cheap right now that it'll be less than your rims that you'll put on it.

use it for a 'daily' till its up to standard for Drifting

I pay about the same: 2700 per year with a lot of cars on the policy. I dont complain tho , it should be more.

600 for an rx7 with a blown motor
                            200 for used motor
                            300 for used motor
100 + two blown motors for a used motor.
i haven't driven it since i put the other motor in it b/c i will drive it hard and i will blow it up. but i put a header on it, a staright 2.25 exhaust to 2 borla mufflers. cost maybe 400.
i also had a 900.00 gts coupe, cone filter for 20.00, free adapter(took it off the rx7), muffler fell off,(free up some power and lost some weight), then i tossed a timing belt,20.00, used transmission, 150.00. then i got a 93 mr2, i traded the gts for it, the only thing i've done is replaced the rims i've broken and borrowed a sledge hammer to straighten the lower control arm.(curbs are a *Censored**Censored**Censored**Censored**Censored*) the cheaper way is the better way. beg, borrow, trade, and hunt down everything you want and do it yourself. thats what cost the most.

Werd man..after doing all that work on my RX7, I'm actually just considering picking up another car to learn to drift on, rather than destroy my 7 doing it. I think I'll save the 7 once I feel comfortable putting cars into drift...I'm actually considering all kinds of cars but I'm thinking about a miata, too cuz they're RWD light & nimble, and are respectable tuner cars.
