How to get smoke out of rear tire

    Okay guys,
As far as the experience that I have had competing the D1 driver searches, US Drifts and Formula D series. I have found that to create alot of smoke out of your rear tires you need to have heavy angle. This will allow you to use more throttle to move the car with out straightening out. Heavy drift angles will also slow the car down which will again allow you to use more gas/ throttle. You basically need to spin those tires faster while keeping the car from straightening out. As for the nitrogen used to fill your tires, that's basically to keep your presures down as you heat up the tires with the extra smoke. Nitrogen does not expand as much as oxygen when heated. The more you peal out the higher the temperatures get, if they get too high past 50 psi you can throw a tread and ruin your new tires. Nomuken uses Nitrogen to keep the presure down so he can keep the wheels spinning longer, which inturn produces more smoke. He also has a heavy car )4 door, which takes more to move the car. So it requires more spinning of the tires to get that big thing moving which translate to more smoke.

nitrogen is a inert gas means it wont expand(get hot) or get cold so your tire pressure will remain the same meaning you'll have the same amount of tire contact before you are drifting or the tires get hot and expand
