    Congratulations to the NOPI World Finals Podium Winners:

    1st - Bill Sherman
    2nd - Dan Willie
    3rd - Nate Brasz
    honorable mention - Kenji Yamanaka

    Congratulations to the 2007 NOPI Drift Series Champions!

    1st - Bill Sherman
    2nd - Blake Fuller
    3rd - Kenji Yamanaka

    Bill Sherman's car was shot by HCI Magazine for an upcoming cover of their magazine immediately after the finals on the drift lot.

    Thanks to ALL the drivers who made it out, and special thanks to everyone who stepped it up to put on a great show at the world finals!


    PS - NOPI has made a commitment to the 2008 season.

                      Good weekend. Though the final run between Dan and Bill would have been more at home on any dirt track in the southeast. Didn't quite agree with that whole thing but nothing to be done about it now. The track was pretty horrible too I heard.

                      Good meeting some folks that I talk to on the net. Had a good time.

                        Dan put a smoking pass on Sherman...Then Sherman proceeded to straighten out and drive right into the back of him.

                        He is a danger to the sport.

                        From the videos I've seen its pretty clear he did it on purpose.

                            Those are what I remember from the podium on the main stage. Glenn already calculated the points totals immediately after the event, but I didn't write them down.

                            Blake and Kenji might have flipflopped. My brain is fried right now

                                there are plenty of videos that visually and audibly show him straightening out after the pass and proceeding to ram dan at WOT. i missed it in person, and saw some videos yesterday and i was just like what the *Censored**Censored**Censored**Censored*.

                                but seeing that its bill, doesnt really suprise me.
