V8 Scion FRS Build By VISION PERFORMANCE
Hello everyone,
Not sure if this is something you all are interested in but we are building an FRS to compete in the 2014 Formula Drift series. Here are just a few pics from where we are at. If you like I can keep you all posted as we move forward. Also most all factory parts on the car are up for grabs. Let me know if you need anything. Sincerely, JoeDrifter ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Well guys, I must admit the 2J is not for this FRS build. I must come clean. It has always been our intent to go LS Supercharged. We are working on sponsorships currently and will have an official announcement here shortly. Once we determine the exact LS setup you all will be the first to know!
YOitzjDM & Kieran You are both correct There were actually 2 Titan Powered Stillen Supercharged G35's that were built. The blue one went to Europe as did the S15. Vision Performance aquired the other one. Sincerely, Joe Drifter |

We are currently considering two motors. The factory LS9 which has the titanium rods and all the goodies. We are also looking at the Edlebrock Supercharged crate motor. We will see in the coming weeks which one will pan out. The goal is about 700whp. We also have just launched the VISION Performance website @ visionperf.com and are linking it back to this build thread! It's a work in progress but as you can see we are getting the ball rolling on many levels. Below you will see the awesome cage work recently done by Cutworm Specialties Inc. They busted the cage out in no time at all. Check out the cool things they do at cutwormspecialties.com! They had a car at SEMA this year. Completely hand built. They do really great work and it's an honor for them to be able to contribute to this build! Should we just clear the cage?

So Jeb and the guys at Cutworm Specialties are killin it on the new cage. They really know their stuff as you can see here
https://www.youtube.com/results?sear...ecialties&sm=3 The Vision Performance cage going in. It kinda sets the tone for the whole build. Door bars almost in! Hopefully tomorrow we will be able to give more details on the motor setup! Busy busy! Joe ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Last edited by JoeDrifter; 01-09-2014 at 08:46 PM. |

Those gussets are pretty sweet! Nice change from the typical round holes you see in everything.

We would like to thank Magnuson Superchargers for helping us out with this beautiful TVS2300 supercharger for our build! We could not help but set it on our mock-up motor! With the Left Coast 32 105mm billet cnc intake and upgraded 30mm cog belt on the back this baby is going to make some serious power!

No kidding Ryaquinn, here come the updates!
Things are going crazy fast now and the season is well underway for the teams! Thanks to IronSquid for hooking us up on the FRS hood! We needed it! Now for some visual FRS eye candy! Thanks to our sponsors Buddy Club USA for hooking us up bigtime! Let me show you how too. Check out the Buddy Club Racing Spec damper! In this first photo you will really see what sets Buddy Club's dampers apart from other manufacturers. Look at the size of the main tube! The massive shock tube diameter, fully threaded shock housing and fully drilled and threaded spindle mounts allow for infinite adjustability. Joe Vick - More to come! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Now for some visual FRS eye candy! Special thanks to our sponsors Buddy Club USA for supporting us racers! So Ron Ewerth and myself are here today at Cutworm Specialties with which is where we get most of our fabrication work done. Ron is the owner of Vision Performance and will be piloting this Scion FRS for the 2014 Formula Drift series. More on that in a minute. Our Buddy Club Racing Spec Dampers and BBK's have arrived and in one word, AWESOME! Check out the Buddy Club Racing Spec damper! In this first photo you will really see what sets Buddy Club's dampers apart from other manufacturers. Look at the size of the main tube!
