  • sus. ball joints and bushings

    hi,

should ball joints and bushings be free and smooth or should they be tight, cuz when i replaced them with new joints they were really stiff to move hwile the old ones i took out were so free that they swing on its own.

wont this bind the suspension and make it not work properly?

is there like a break in period for them to get free?

    thanks for any replies

no tight is what you want. The less movement in the suspension the better. Especially with bushings and tie rods.

He speaks the truth... your old ones were really shot.

They need to move smoothly but stiffly. If you feel like they move inconsistently then that is bad.
