Sadly this is true. Just happened yesterday in Japan.

        RIP Atsushi "Cool Roy" Kuroi.

Any of you who know Kazuya "Chunky" Bai might want to send your condolences to him as well. He and Kuroi-san were very close friends and drove together for Signal/Tanabe/BFG in the early days.

He's car was the s13 with the 700hp RB26? right? The one that was always on those street drifting videos with chunky bai?

I'm really really saddened by this....

The first drift video I ever owned featured Kuroi.

            street drift legend!!!

I feel bad because he was at RBWDC helping out Takatori when he was with Super Autobacs and I didn't greet him and shake his hand because I felt since he wasn't driving he didn't want to be bothered. I wish I could turn back the hands of time and show my appreciation.

Please FD can we please have a moment of silence at Long Beach for this pioneer of the sport.

This is the first major drifter who has passed away.

                  I'm very very sad....

                  I'm from Team Signal.
I'd been working w/ KoolRoy and Chunky for about 4 years in the US.
We were soooo excited working in Team Signal for BFG, EXEDY, TANABE and more in those days...
It is still unforgettable exciting time for all of us.

Now I'm in Cali and heard the bad news yesterday morning and I thought I was cheated.... but it was true...

                  I can't believe it yet.

My co-worker in Signal Japan visited the funeral yesterday.

I met and talked w/ him and he was well as usual at TAS though...

I pray his soul may rest in peace.
