who do i belive?????

man i dont know who to belive here one says that the internal of a sr20det redtop is different from the black top sr20det and one says that they are the same who do i belive here help please!!!?

They are the same unless it's the variable cam timing black top or the red top is out of a GTIR

so does that mean i can use anything from the redtop into a blacktop liek cranks pistons and everything inside the block? and oh yeah can i used the redtop head on a black top head then?

ive read that the blacktop has bigger cylinder heads or somethin like that and is a better canidate for upgrades, better airflow i guess.....but other than that they are basically the same....hope that helps somewhat

They had bigger intake and exhaust ports.

In addition to gtrken's post - GTiR had a beffier crankshaft and rods, ITB's an a T3 turbo. Great engine, in my opinion the best SR20 ever.
