How change idol speed?

i was wondering how do you change idol speed? i may sound like a newbie, but please dont post criticism it doesnt help.any positive answers would be helpful, thanx.

to change idle speed you have to find your throttle body. I drive an SR so it's to the left. It'll be directly attached to your intake manifold, and it'll have a cable running from your gas pedal to the throttle body. You should be able to adjust the tension of the cable from there with a wrench.


Kinda hard to explain, I tried.

American Idol speed adjustment? Depends on what you drive. Carbed cars have set screws that can adjust throttle cable tension and whatnot. Injected cars have set nuts on the cable themselves. There are other ways but those are the 2 most common.

thank you both a lot,there is nothing wrong with my idol speed,but i read in a previous post to change the idol speed to this other persons car so i wasnt sure how u do that.thanx
