Bee*R rev limiter question

ok i am looking into buying one for my car its a blacktop sr20det with minor bolt ons but my question is.. since you can ajust the limiter if u say set it at 6800rpm(cuz thats when the T25 stops boosting) and u hit the limiter can it still damage the motor? i really dont care about the flames thing my car does that on its own rite now with a cat! and a gp sports exhaust thanks for any help!

from what i read bout the bee*r rev limiter, it can be a good and bad thing. say if u dont tune it correclty itll kill the life of ur engine but if u tune it correctly it can actually make it live longer. but just get a pro to tune it properly to ur preference.
