1991 Nissan Hardbody Valvetrain Noise

hello,

i have a ticking sound coming from my KA24E engine. I think it might be my lifters? But dont really know for sure. Ive heard maybe it could be the Timing Chain also? Theres only a short rattle upon startup. But the ticking noise has gotten worse over time, more frequently and lasts longer. Do I need a Valve Adjustment? Could This Help or should I get the lifters replaced? The dealer wants $50.00 a piece so thats $600.00. Is it worth doing a job like this or is an Engine Rebuild better off? thank you

hmmm.... wut is ur oil pressure and level like? could maybe be a bad oil pump... I dunno just a guess

i dont have a pressure gauge in my truck. just checked the level today its down a bit, bout 2mm from high. so it burns a little bit of oil.
