Conversion process:
1. Sell Altima KADE
2. Buy 240SX KADE
3. Swap blown KA for "new" KA.

You know, anybody that owns a repair/maintenance manual for a 240 (i.e. someone that loves their car) would know that the Altima and the 240SX use the same engine. Then when, they blow an engine, presumably by accident, they would look for an easy/cheap way to aquire a new engine for loved automobile without buying a new 240SX. That is why and how people come up with these ideas.

You'd need most of the parts of a 240SX KA to convert it to RWD, plus a lot of custom work, in the end you'd spend probably well over twice the price of a 240SX KA, plus you'd have bought one along the way anyway. If you have that amount of cash to throw around you're better off spending it on an SR or RB engine, hell even a 2JZ.

obviously different tranny, another difference is the way they are mounted, ie longitudinal and (cant thik of the other work)

so it may have the same engine code, but i dont think it would be a simple swap.

follow grid's direction.

It's transverse.

A lot of stuff bolts up differently. Just because it's a KA does not mean it's just plug-and-play.
