Wiring harness plugs

When doing the wiring behind the battery is it possible to just makes switches to the wires before the plugs so that the plugs from the SR and the KA align up right? or do you have to cut and splice?

thanks,
dayv

why would you want to make switches.. what if your driving and it gets turned off.. why don't you either pull the wires out of the plug and re align them or just cut off the plug it self and solder it with the correct wiring diagram. and heat shrink wrap the solder parts. doesn't that seem easier then putting switches on each wire..
