Easy BOV question!

One quick question....hopefuly someone can help me...If im puting a Front Mount Intercooler, and want to use a Blow Off Valve in the intercooler pipe, (1)...what would I have to do(2) were does the nipple on top of the BOV go to(please be specific) (3) would I have to use onother turbo since the stock turbo has a wastegate...should I weld it shut? or any other information that could help me.... please

I know that som of this are stupid questions but I have never owned a turbo car....all my past cars have been very fast but all n/a

Any help would be greaty apreciated....Thanxxx

umm im not too sure about your blow off valve, but i do know your gonna need a wastegate no matter what, the question is do you want it internal or external. I by far am no expert for the record.

a wastegate and bov are 2 completely different things.

one controls the maount of boost you run and bleeds off the excess through your exhaust or open whatever (wastegate)

a bov relieves pressure and prevents pressure surge by releasing the comprssed air on its way to the throttle body and either venting/recuirulating it back into the air or intake between the mafs ad turbo.

you will need to get the part of the fmic piping that you want to place it, then get the bov and get a flange for it, take it to a metal shop and have them weld the flange on, then put the bov on

the nipple for the bov goes to a vacuum line.

no you would not need another turbo and dont weld the weld the wastegate.

seeing as that you are probably a ricer, you will definantly want to vent, so then you will need to find something to tee your splot on your stock intake for the recuircualting bov so you dont have a huge leak.
