TRanny Qustioins

Dose anyone here know the differance between the s20 tranny and the ka tranny...My sr tranny craped the bed I think. So I am putting in the ka tranny. I was told all i have to do is change the bell housing and it should work., But I want to know the differance between the two. Thanks GUys.

if im not mistaken, the only real difference in the two trannys is in the sorter geared ka, for obvious nonturbo reasons. otherwise, im to belive they both can bolt right up with lil modification

Just some info. I was looking at the gear ratios between the ka and the sr. They are the same the only differance is that the ka 5th gear is longer then the sr.More TOP SPEED and drifting.!!!! Thanks again.

Ahhh....If you read what I said I said more top speed and drifting, Thus meaning the car will have a higher top speed and i will still be able to drift in the lower gears the same as my sr tranny, Not high speed drifting in 5th gear.
