Troubleshooting help for '90 240SX

My buddies 1990 240SX already has the sr20 redtop installed with Greddy intercooler and everything like that. The only thing that has really been a problem with the car so far is that in lower rpm's the car stutters a lot and hesitates before the throttle response kicks in. Has anyone else had this problem? Could it be the MAF? Any feedback would be appreciated.

More or less likely. However, could be a number of things. Any other specific probs?
