Hachi Roku VIN question
Hey guys,
Had a question about VIN numbers for the Hachi's. I know that the SR-5 in the US has the VIN: AE86 in it. I know that to look for a true Hachi, it's got to have a US VIN of AE88. But I saw in the paper today an 87 Corolla GT-S with the VIN: 1NXAE89XXXXXXX... so is this still a RWD Corolla GT-S? Or did the car salesman mix it up w/ the FWD Sprinter that came out in 87? I'm in the works for purchasing a GTS, but this is throwing me for a loop... I can't find any info on AE89's or any Hachi's with this VIN... the kicker is that I went on CARFAX and it's a legit VIN number for a 1987 Corolla GT-S FX16... is this a RWD Corolla?? Let me know, thanks guys... |

If carfax says its a FX16, then its a FWD. Dont listen to the salesman.

Or take a gander underneath the car.
