Head Gasket

im replacing my head gasket and i have everything off except for the head itself.The motor is a 96 KA24DE and it seems like i have to take off my cams in order to get to the head bolts.Am i seeing this write or am i missing something? Thanks.Dont tell me to use search,cuz i did.and i found nothing.

uhh yeah.. anyways they have to come off to get the head off.. theres a trick with out having to take the chain off keep thension on it and u can pull the head off with out removing it.. your best bet is to have a buddy hold the chain while u remove the head.. good luck.. you should look for a service manual.. there are tons floating online in pdf format..
