S14 ram air style intake

I may be getting a S14 soon, and I wanted to do a bit of research on hoods and hood scoops. I have not been able to find any carbon or glass hoods with scoops.

I don't like cold air intakes. They end up in spots that can pick up too much mud and other crud.

My goal would be to get a carbon or glass hood with a scoop and build some sort of ram air intake instead of using a cold air intake.

Instead of just positioning a cone air filter behind the scoop I was wondering if anybody has tried fabricating a sort of ram air box. I figure the easiest would be to use a old stock air box with the right profile and just hacking at it till it fits but how about some input?

Thanks guys.

Take 4 inch flex tubing and run it around and in front of your radiator. Make the other end lead right in front of your intake. My friend Clay did that to his sentra and it did wonders. Cause its really cheap and cold air intakes tend to lag on the bottom end.
