Is your BOV supposed to go on the HOT PIPE or the COLDpipe? or does it matter...sorry to be such a drag about this

from what i understand puttin it on the cold side keeps the intercooler core charged for faster throttle response... but i'm no mechanic..

it does matter where you put it. Putting it on the coldpipe is a better idea but not everyone's got a metal coldpipe. You get better boost response with it being on the coldpipe vs. the hotpipe.

actually, you are better off with dual BOVs or a wastegate since if it is on the coldpipe, your turbo will stay wound up for good torque and your intercooler will be nice and charged and all for better horsepower but your turbo may just bust on you one day if you hav a big one. if you just want a single BOV, you can choose between hotpipe (better protection against wear and engine catastrophes, for those who want cheaper maintenance with the cost of less power) or coldpipe (if you can offord to replace ur turbo or let it cool down once in a while by letting off the throttle with the reward of more overall engine response and power).
