it's a heavy car, but it's a Toyota. Make sure you buy a metal head gasket and ARP head studs and replace the stock head gasket ASAP!
check the obvious, play in the turbo, leaks in the targa, rust, etc. etc... |

...or torque the head down to the right specs.
Is the Turbo Talon AWD? A Turbo A70 with 88K is a rare find - how much? |

The Targa
Go with the targa, unless you have a love for FF drifting. Anything FF can do, FR can do better. FR can do anything better then you. LOL

go with the supra, I just got an n/a auto with 77,000 miles, and targa, it is heavy, and about the head gasket, I'm getting a metal HKS one, but they are also really great cars, I love mine. If you do go with the supra you will be very happy.

I've got an '88 n/a targa. Fun car.
And ehh, mranlet's right. Don't waste your money on a new gasket, just torque the OEM one down to the correct specs. Assuming it isn't already blown. |
