215 tires on an S13

a guy at a shop told me that the widest tire you can put on a S13 is a 215 w/o going widebody....is that true?

This isnot true. I run 255/40/17s all round. Some rubbing ocasionally but nothing bad.

cool, how low is your car? (its lowered, right?)

yes it is lowerd. Tein Hes would right down with 30mm preeload on them. Works out to be about top of lip around 340 on front 350 on rear.
