Tanabe springs

Alright fellas heres the deal...I got tanabe springs....an di put them on...I also have an SR redtop in the car...heres the problem....i got a massive gap between the wheel and the body...is this because the SR engine is lighter and the springs are for the heavier KA?

yes I believe the engine is lighter. 2.0 vs. 2.4 and the ka is steel I believe (been a while since I've looked this up) the sr is aluminum headed. but that shouldn't matter too much. which version of the tanabe springs did you get. I can ask my friend about these...
