It isn't legal to put an SR20 motor in all the States I suppose. The engine wasn't used in any USDM car, so that would mean it wasn't smog measured and stuff. That leads to the point that it isn't legal here...

It isnt legal in any state. The only way i see you can do it is that you get it smog legal and all that other stuff at a dealer that does it legally. If you get an sr20det and you get stoped by cops, its death to the sr20!!

I know a guy that has been stopped like 4 times by cops with a 2 in hood raise in the back and an SR under it. He has never has his SR "die". He also had it pass smog at a test only station without saying anything to the guy and with the motor just kinda stockish looking. And yes it passed the tailpipe sniffer... The cat smelled like rotten eggs from being overworked... but it passed.
