ae86 drive train in te71

hey guys i was wondering if an AE86 drivetrain would fit into a te71 levin??? i have been told that the standard gearbox from the levin will not fit a 4age 16V block. if the ae 86 will fit how much modification is required. is it hard for an 18 yr old to do on own? if it doesnt fity can someone please sudjest a gearbox etc that will. P.S. im in australia so anything that didnt come out in aus wont be available to me. thanks in advance

TE71's came with T50 tranny too, just change the bellhousing to a 4AG bellhousing if your gonna swap in a 4AG. You gonna need custom made mounts to fit in place of a "T" series motor. Unless you get a AE71 crossmember, 4AG will drop right in. AE86 LSD rear end should bolt on too.
