240sx SOHC ignition problem please help
ok we had the mototr running fine then i just bolted on my body kit and got it ready to take out last night and then i try and start it again last night and it just cranks and we have no spark....the only thing i noticed is that the mount for the coil pack is really really really hot to the touch....so would this be a short or what is happening to make the coil pack mount get really really hot and me losing spark...........any suggestions will work and thank you

sounds like you answered your own question. That has all the characteristics of a loose connection or a short.

I know that with coils, if the coil is improperly grounded (the coil isnt seated tight enough, the body has a bad ground, ect.) the coil gets extreemly hot, and there is no spark.
I would check all of your grounds first, you might have undone something while putting on the body kit. |

You have a SOHC and have coil packs???? Did you swap to SR or KA24DE? Normally SOHC have distributors.
