Transmission swap wiring

Alright...Im doing and SR20swap and a AT to MT swap....now i heard that you have to splice wires together to bypass the automatic transmission....I also heard that if you do not do this...NOTHING will happen no fuel pump no ignitiion....is this true?
and if it is, which wires should I be havin' to splice?

just remember to unplug the ignition key capture system
