Drift Bible turbo shutter
I was watching drift bible....and im pretty sure the sound the cars are making when relieving pressure isnt a blowoff valve....im pretty sure its turbo shuttering...isnt that hell for a turbo? isnt that the worst thing you could do....could someone tell me the reasoning behind this?

i believe that is a cheesegate( a atmospheric wastegate designed to let the pressure out in the air not back in to the exhaust
i have one on my car and it sounds the same

I think it is a super sequential HKS blowoff valve.
That shuttering you are reffering to is compressor surge and it is hell for turbos. Cheesegate WTF..... So it is an atmoshperic wastegate (external) and it lets it out but not in? That makes no sense, all wastegates dont let air back in becuase the pressure is higher on the exhaust side than the atmosphere side. I hope your wastegate doesnt only open when you shift or let the throttle body shut. |

Its a blowoff with a loose piston. It flutters as a result. It does sound like compressor surge though, doesn't it?

the way its been explained to me is with the HKS, is that when you let off the accelorator and it blows off and you're feathering the gas to hold the drifting that it the valve doesn't have time to fully close all the time, and thats why you get the fluttering sound, correct me if i'm wrong though
