Tie rod and tension rod
Can someone tell me what the difference is between them. My car has a shake that happens at about 65 on the highway, and I know it is not tires or brakes because they are new wheels and tires balanced and brakes are still good. Has anyone else had this? Thanks.

Either could be causing it, however it is more likely than not your tie rod ends. Check 'em out... if the rubber boot is worn through and oozing, then they're shot. I would recommend replacing them with the upgrade Tein units, which are stronger.
The tie rods connect your steering rack to your front spindles and the tension rods keep caster in check. |
